I put a full termignoni exhaust on my 959

Ended up going with a Frankenstein method. Got a 1199 header pipe, 899 mufflers, and a 1299 up map for it to all be correct and run right.

If you used the upmap key that came with an exhaust, then all you did was unlock the race or EVO map that is stored in the ECU when delivered. The race map for slipon and EVO for full.

By 899 exhaust, do you mean you put on a Termignoni instead of the Akrapovic?

If so, the map on the ECU is tuned for a different AFR than what is really going on with your bike and the engine output will not be optimal.

I put on the termignoni slip on mufflers for the 899. And the termignoni header for the 1199.

Holly Molly! Why doesn't Termi offer this?
1) Could you post some part numbers for us please?
2) What heat shield is that?

Well Done. You've just been nominated for the Ducati Mod Rock Star award.

P.S. Why not use a RapidBike unit or equivalent for better fuel map?

Current rides:
2016 Ducati Panigale 959 (Arctic White)
2016 Ducati Monster 1200 R (Badass Black)

Why couldn't you have used the 1199 slip-on also?
such as this kit?

There is no difference between the 899 and the 1199 exhaust.

The only difference between all the kits are as follows:
899 - slipon, upmap key for 899 ECU
1199 RACE - slipon, upmap key for RACE maps on ECU
1199 EVO - full system (headers and slipon), upmap key for EVO maps

So basically this is the full Termignoni system and the Akrapovic fuel mapping.

I would have gone with the front exit Termignoni full system instead which likely flows more similarly to the Akrapovic than the legacy Termignoni.

The 899 does not have a full system specifically designed for it because the headers flow well in relation to the engine output and slipon exhaust. The improvement would be minimal and the only benefit comes from installing the Akrapovic titanium system which lowers the weight.

In all, the stock exhaust on the Panigale flows extremely well so you will not see HP or torque gains like you do on a Yamaha, for example. Smoothing out the torque curve is the most prominent gain you will notice.

Thanks man. I will look up the parts and post them. The heat shield is a OEM from the 1299. I went with the 1299 up map because my buddy from Ducati had one and gave it to me. I haven't thought about other ones to go with. The 899 mufflers are the same as the 1199 as far as compatibility goes. Over all my cost for these parts were significantly lower than others due to having a friend that works at Ducati. They sometimes come across parts that are new in the box that were from promotions or owners not wanting them installed on special order bikes.

No need to look-up part numbers as you just confirmed that the Termi kit previously posted would fit.
It would also be interesting to see dyno charts should you choose to go that route.
It's a very interesting mod alternative, that's for sure.

Actually the local Ducati shop has a dyno day from time to time. So I plan on seeing what the numbers are. I will for sure post them soon as I get in on the next one that comes up.
