Flaps under front fairing

Ok, stupid question. I noticed the flaps under the front fairing “flapping” when I was on the highway. I’ve looked but can’t find anything saying what they are or what they do. This might be a very basic question but it seems weird that they’re doing that. Kind of distracting too. Thanks.

do you have any pictures of the flaps? I'm having a hard time picturing what you're referring to.

I'm curious as to what their use is as well. I'd guess it aids in forcing air through the radiator then opens to prevent turbulence at higher speed. This is just a guess.

To stop **** from travelling up, I have removed them from 2 of my previous track Pani's without issue from turbulence but road only I would leave them alone.

899 - rapidbike evo/shift assist - M4 calipers/330 rotors - hel brake lines/abs deleted - oz racing - 1299 headers/termi ti cans - flat link/spring - dp rearsets - 1299 slipper/mag covers - 1299 stator/flywheel - ti bolts a plenty.
