Normal Summer Time Coolant Temps?

To be honest, I've never paid really close attention to my coolant temps, just figured these machines run a little on the warm side.

Lately, I saw some threads on over heating of the 959 and am paying more attention now.

It was about 88 F this morning and after30 minutes of spirited riding, coolant temps were in the high 190 to low 200 F range.

Is this normal, my Kawasaki's run ice cold in the same conditions and the Honda's are only slightly warmer, the 959 is at least 10 -15 F degrees hotter.

Totally normal, I say. I usually run at around 200.

Garage
Mine in 80+F degree temps, depending on riding style and environment will be 190-220F. Traffic will make it go up. I've seen as high as 228 in the mountains.

I ride my 959 on the track exclusively and the temperatures hover around 185-198. That is at full throttle never going below 8500 rpm

I see 104c regularly buzzing around on the street, 105c is the most it's been.

OK, thanks folks, that pretty much answers my question, these do tend to run a bit hot, going to try Water Wetter and see if I can get it to come down a bit.
