Just bought my first Ducati!! Got a 2016 959 with 163 miles on her!! Basically still brand new!

My previous motorcycle experience includes the following:
1998 Yamaha R1
2001 Yamaha R1
2006 Kawasaki ZX10R
2012 Yamaha R6
and now...
2016 Ducati 959 Panigale!

Due to our wonderful Northern California weather, I've been able to log exactly 63 miles on her so far, but wow, soooooo different from the inline 4 Japanese bikes!! Cant wait to get more miles on her...

Any advice or suggestions? So far the following is done
NRC Fender Eliminator kit
Mirrors removed w/ R&G Mirror Blank Kit

Just need some seat time!!!

Congrats on the bike and I hope you continue to enjoy riding the 959.

Having come from a long lineage of high revving inline 4 sportbikes, I am curious to know how you find the twin once you get considerably more miles in the seat.

It sounds like you are off to a good start on modifications, but I didn't see a radiator guard on the list. I would look in to getting one, such as the Evotech, as I know the California roads can be disastrously clutter similar to the well traveled Texas highways.

Other than that, keep an eye on all the options from Rizoma, CRG, and all the carbon upgrades that are available.

Hi Alfred, Welcome to the forum. The Panigale is a lot of fun to ride. You'll especially love the torque relative to a L4.
I've actually started a thread to address your questions about other things to consider.
"Post Panigale delivery: What you may need to buy next"

Not on the list, but a very popular first performance mod by a lot of the guys here including myself is to lower the gearing. Look-up "gearing change".
Do your reading about this and throttle spacers as there's also some mixed opinions about both. Enjoy!

Welcome Sir , Be careful riding when under 50 degrees . I installed rizoma rearsets for big feet and most the mods suggested here, sliders and radiator protection. Picked up an exhaust muffler on ebay , gutted it welded back up ,replacing stock one ,installing sprint air filter ,and rapid bike evo for tuning adjustment necessary. Should make bike louder, want to pull up next to to harleys and be just as loud .
If you make it out to the coast give a shout , nice twistys in my area .
