I'm heading out on a 4 day trip Saturday - Tuesday. It will be ~1,300 miles from Washington state to Montana and back. There should be 6 of us going. I will be the only one taking a 959. My buddy is bringing his 1299 (if he doesn't flair out).

I was debating taking my sport touring bike. But I decided to go for it and take the 959! The longest day should be about 370 miles. I picked up a 20 liter kriega backpack which I really like. I think it should be the perfect size to stuff everything in that I need to bring.

My girlfriend does go 2up. But on the sport touring bike, NOT on the 959. Last weekend we went 2up to Victoria, Canada for an overnight trip. She couldn't go on this one.
