Just bought a low-mileage 2017 959 from a dealer in northern California.

When I first got the bike I hooked up my trickle charger on the battery with no issues - now after riding it won't take a charge.
The charger just flashes, acts like there is a connection issue.
I have tried both the two-prong dongle and direct connection to the battery leads, and checked fuses.

I know the charger is ok, use it regularly on my car and other bike.
Anyone experience this kind of issue?

Thinking about just installing a new lithium battery as a cure,

The newer smart chargers won't charge a very dead battery. Sometimes you can use a dumb charger to get some voltage into it, then use the smart charger or even jump the bike from a car (without the engine running) run the bike a bit then put the charger on it. You most likely just need a new battery.
