Reading on MCN that the panigale gained about 7 kg just from sound deadening inside the engine and inside the fairing.

Would be lovely to scrape that junk off the tins and save a couple KG.

Probably the cheapest and easiest mod you could do to improve handling

Would the interior look similar to the 899 panigale stripped down?

No idea where you would find the noise deadening pipes in there.

How would you remove the sound deadening parts from a bike? I've seen it done on cars with dry ice but not motorcycles.

It sounds like its just sound deadening on the inside of the fairings. The rest of it has been built into the crankcase I would imagine...

I was looking at Carbon rims/wheels - over $2000, to save this weight!

That's 15 lbs you wont have to drag side to side... people speend thousands trying to drop 10 lbs from a bike, dropping 15 should be easy as scraping the inside of your fairings

yes BST wheels are totally UNREAL! a friend of mine has them on his ZX-10. For me it's not liek a night and day thing, where you're like OMG this is so different. But more of a better feeling, like wow this is nice...

you'll never get it all out. There's a bunch of sound deadening baked into the engine, so there's always going to be less mechanical sound and fury then the 899. Luckily the extra weight in the motor is located in an excellent place to help 'pivot' the bike. Many of the reviewers have actually praised the weight somewhat. It has feel.
