14T sprocket is now on my Panigale 959 Corse.

Kind of a hassle getting all the brackets, etc. out of the way just to install a front sprocket, but well worth my effort.

I have this same mod on my Monster 1200R, and couldn't be happier with the results on the 959.

I understand the 959 is a Sport/Track bike, but it's the 'around town' ease of riding that make this mod so appealing to me.

I hesitate to even call it a 'mod', as I view it as more of a correction. The difference is that dramatic.

Can anyone comment if the 14T is an advantage or disadvantage with respect to track riding?

Thanks

Hi DR,
The 959 with -1F was great at the track as much as on the street. All Italian bike are geared too long.

This is just for illustration purposes and to show some theoretical impact on gear change effect. The math methodology could be off (especially the 0~60 mph*). I also used a 160mph top speed as a base although it may run a few mph faster so please don't tear-apart the messenger.

Stock 160mph? I’ve brought my stock 959 to rev limiter in 6th and the Speedo read 183mph. I know these speedos are not 100% accurate but to say they are off 23mph? Doesn’t seem right.

The post (and the thread) was not about the top speed.
Please re-read my quoted post with particular emphasis on "for illustration purposes and to show some theoretical impact on gear change effect"
