Unfortunately the review is Chinese but luckily you can google translate the full report o their site.

Before he went to Valencia he practiced on the 899 and the 959 has an easier time accelerating coming out of a bend. Something about the gas door (throttle?) not needing to be opened as early so you can get closer to the line before opening it up. He says it this aspect feels like the 1199.

The 959 has friendly handling and throttle power is pretty good. He was able to hit a top speed of 250km/h in the Valencia straight and it's good that it's not as powerful as the 1299 as there's more chances for human caused error.

That's all I can make out from the video. :frown2:

Haven't ridden the 1199 but riding like it's bigger brother is usually a good thing, has anyone here had a chance to hop on the 1199?
Not me, but spoke to a tester who went to the test ride at Valencia, he said it felt much more compact than the 1299 plus easy to manouver.

I sat on a 1299 today, will see once the 959 arrives and will compare them once together.

I say on the 899 and 1199 back to back at the MC show last year and didn't find any noticeable dimensions in their sizes besides the weight.
So more compact than the 1299 and as maneuverable as the 1199?

They say it felt like a 600cc but with more power.

Now that's what I like to hear, that 600 nimbleness. Now they just need to hurry up with carbon fiber frames to cut weight, can't wait for those days to eventually be here.

Yea right... they can't do it profitably in cars bellow $150K no way they can make it fly on bikes.

Besides, they give almost no feel if you believe VR46 ;)

It will take a while if it ever happens, for now we'll probably see one off bikes done like that.

Has to be some way in the future that will make this viable.
They didn't change the electronics in the 959 to keep the prices low, don't think the carbon fiber frame is going to happen it'll raise the final price. Maybe some aftermarket companies?
Don't think so but what they did do for sure was change the algorithms of the systems which helped a great deal.

In German, but worth checking it out as they show the bike as I've not seen it before. :)
