I'm not the type that gives a **** about what anyone else thinks but at the same time I don't want to look like a boob when out. I have been on a jacket search for about 6 months now and one of my final choices just so happens to be a ducati leather jacket (alpinestars). I'm not a ducati fanboy (yet at least) since I haven't owned one long enough to see it's reliability. Never wore bike branded gear and was just curious if any of you have ducati branded gear and what your experiences are or what you think when you see others with it. I personally never think anything of it when I see guys in their HD gear but I know many people say it makes you look like a douche.

I have the Ducati Corse leather jacket. Because it is made by Dainese, it zips to my Dainese Delta leather pants. I also have some Ducati branded Dainese and Five gloves. I was able to get the gear at a tremendous discount by using points I received from my dealer when I purchased my Panigale and BMW RR.

I also have the brown Urban leather jacket and the Monster Anniversary jacket.

I get compliments on them all the time. Have yet to be criticized or called a fan boy.

I have five jackets and I'm not a fan of bike branding apparel either.
I only purchased the Dainese "Ducati" on a whim because it was deeply discounted for clearance.
Ironically, it's my favorite, as it looks great, discreet where the branding is subtle and it's perforated.
I also get compliments all the time regardless of which jacket I wear.

Revit GT-R jacket
Revit Galactic jacket (Leather/Mesh with WP liner)
Dainese R-Twin Vintage jacket
Dainese Ducati Dark Armor Perforated jacket
Alpinestars T-GP Pro Air mesh jacket

I'm liking that dark armor jacket and how subtle it is. Yea, the one I was looking at is alot louder and I'm not one to seek attention but I like it.

Very nice jacket indeed. Perhaps not for discreet / casual riding but definitely for sport.
As Sin pointed out, do get the matching pants. Make sure it has the 360 deg zipper as it's mandatory should you go to the track.

Yea it would be just for street riding. I have a separate 1 piece for the track. The other jackets have race humps on them which also not a fan of for the street but unfortunately I like the design.

Lol, I don’t much care for looking like a fan boy either but at the same time I dont care what other people think. Ducati gear is good stuff. I have a ducati mesh jacket by spidi, a ducati helmet by arai and i just picked up a pair of the summer 2 gloves yesterday and i love them, those are spidi as well. I wear an alpinestars leather jacket and my shark helmet most of the time. Jackets are funny you need to try them on to see which one is best for your body. A stars works well for me. Good luck

People aren't exactly going to come up to you and say "hey mate, that's a sh!t bike-specific jacket you got there" but they *may* think it. Does that matter to you? It shouldn't, but it seems it does.
Imagine seeing a Ferrari and the guy getting out is wearing a ferrari jacket and ferrari hat with ferrari sunglasses.

Personally I wouldn't get Ducati-branded gear.................... unlesssssssssss it was a super sale :p

I have the Ducati IOM 78 made by Dainese and I love it for everyday use. Its subtle, perforated and super comfortable. Much lighter than my Spidi Track.
With that being said, I am not a fan of brand specific gear either.

Lol it seems the consensus is that everybody hates bike branded gear but owns some anyway. Every jacket I've ordered Ive also sent right back for some reason. Guess I have committment issues. The ducati ones I have seen look good but way too overpriced if not discounted.

Haha. That's true but your last comment is to the point. They're too expensive for the quality and feature. They do look good however. I only bought one because it was being liquidated by my dealer at a ridiculously low price.

Have one Dainese-Ducati one piece suit - bought it as it was both well priced and extremely well made, with great armour. The rest of my riding gear is Dainese K-series two piece and Dainese Techno track leathers. Gloves alpinestars GP-plus, GP-pro and Knox Handroids

Best Dayal
