Corse decal on new 959, good,bad , tacky?

Everyone that I've asked has said that they're good and not tacky. But I'm not sure if I'll feel like they'd be tacky. So that's why I haven't done them yet.

Certainly it's an homage to the factory teams and the racing program. Would assume if not trying to pull of "this bike is more special' it flies. Although I would guess depending on the type of Ducatista you meet the view could differ.

I actually really like the look but feel awkward adding it. I agree different Ducati enthusiasts may frown on it but none of them kicked in cash to help me purchase my 959. Strangely my other bike is a Honda CBR 600rr Repsol Edition and I had no regrets purchasing the GP Moto bike sponsor decal set and adding it to my Repsol.

I was thinking about adding a Ducati Corse decal to the bottom half of the fairing somewhere. My idea is for the decal to be white so that it's not jumping out at you or detracting from the simplistic look.

As I'm typing this I thought of a better idea - get a very thin black lined one that has no fill for both words (TM) - then the white of the original matte paint will come through.

Anyone know where I can custom order something like this? I used to order from Tape Works... I guess I can send them an email.

If you like it, go for it. It's your bike anyways and if you get tired of it later on, you can simply peel it off.

It's your bike and no one else's. Customize it the way you see fit. Do what makes you happy.

Screw it. I'm ordering a set of white. Like DarR said, do what makes u happy. I'll also take a heat gun to them if Im unhappy. $30 investment, no loss no gain

Buddy sent me a shot of his buddy's 899 that he has gone full clone on with the Corse decals, CF, etc. Looks fine, its just... Its not a Corse. To each his own though.

If the decal you are referring to looks like this, I reckon it looks good. Would love the same scheme as the tank though.

I think it's all about personal preference, although looking at the bike it's seems hard to improve on.

@ Dingo - I know eBay is a good source for pre-made vinyls. I've gotten some really cool decals there. If you're looking to design your own then there are a ton of online decal sites like - http://www.stickerbot.com They make quality stuff and you can preview your artwork prior to ordering. Not the cheapest out there though.
