1. Is the silencer in question the Slip-On itself?Revisiting this topic, according to Termignoni they have a silencer on their exhaust. However I am confused about their wording.
Ducati-PANIGALE-959-D155102CPT - Termignoni
Termignoni introduces the new silencers for Ducati Panigale 959, made in carbon and titanium CUNB, the same used by the Termignoni Reparto Corse to realize the racing exhausts. The CUNB is a special titanium alloy that has excellent formability in ambient temperature and high mechanical strength even after the 600 °C, and resist oxidation above 800 °C. This allows us to reduce significantly the weight, while still providing a high level of performance and durability of the exhaust, much higher of the systems made of a commercial titanium alloy. Over the exclusive materials, that permits a lightweight of only 1,5 kg per silencer, another characteristic is given by the frontal exit of the gas, a solution that optimize the performance and the design.
Our silencers D155102CPT can be installed on DUCATI Panigale 959 or with the adapter D155Y2 or with the collectors D155COLT.
Two Questions arise.
Thanks Kevin, I now have two choices for Laguna Seca to flag me off the track :grin2:1. Is the silencer in question the Slip-On itself?
Yes.
2. Is there actual sound dampening when equipping this slip-on?
Only the inherent sound dampening from the baffle design.
Are you trying to address the 92dB limit? Because the stock is reportedly up around 108dB.Thanks Kevin, I now have two choices for Laguna Seca to flag me off the track :grin2:
