Thats right dougo and just another way to get something a bit different.
Looks like your paying retail for the extra bits plus a small bit for the exclusivity. These sort of things are never a bargain.

They will have no trouble selling them for sure but to people like us who like to do extra bits themselves it seems not good value.

Every year, there's a/multiple limited edition/special version that's released from Ducati. To me, just seems like another one of those.

Red only. However, I agree with previous comments about re-cycling parts to make a buck.
They added a bit of farkle and a lots of bling.
Nothing on suspension such as Ohlins or Marchesini forged.
Nothing about Up/Down QS or upgraded electronics.

I'll pass easily.

Living in the US I'm obviously ignorant to how things work over there. What is it about this exhaust that makes it OK when the under-belly we get isn't?

Predominantly noise.

The underbelly exhaust is way cool but meets only the older Euro 3 standards. I'm leaving mine stock, bike has a nice growl with the underbelly exhaust and has all the power I need, if I need more, just open the throttle.

My thoughts exactly, skip all the carbon B.S., throw in a set of Marchesini forged alloy wheels, factory auto blip downshift feature and add an Ohlins TTX rear shock to cure the harsh rear end and I'd be all in.

Me too, because only comes in RED >, JK.
Don't you think you are getting a good deal with the Akras factory installed and mapping? The rest would be gravy, or the Akra by itself is cheaper? I am not familiar with the prices.

Start adding that much and they'd be sniping 1299 sales...There's only 25 of them, they'll probably have as much into marketing the things as they stand to profit on them lol
