This should be one of those reviews that help to get people to throw a level over a 959 sooner with feedback of smoother riding overall, throttle, gearing, electronics, etc. that all all up for a well rounded and smooth package.

Just had an email from Performance Bikes about the London Motorcycle show in February. Top Secret - a large capacity bike from one of the major manufacturers will be unveiled at the show. Could it be the long awaited replacement for the Fireblade?? It is long overdue.

Major manufacturer could be any one of them and not necessarily the Honda Fireblade but then again, they didn't release a significantly updated literbike last year, not that I know of. Hard to say but no less excited for the London Motorcycle show.

I think most buyers think of the 959 as a liter bike already, maybe reviewers have to call it whatever Ducati labels it.
I'll be honest. Today I did a couple highway pulls. My bike is stock. It's not slow, not at all but it's no liter bike either. There's no 1198 style wave of torque. The bike just doesn't have that kind of "oh ****" power.

I'm quite happy with that to be honest. It's so much more composed and predictable than a full blown liter bike would be. No matter what the reviewers say, this bike still needs to be rev'd. It fantastically easy to ride for a 157hp bike. But its not going to pull your arms off if thats what you're hoping for.
