Are you referring to this exhaust? It's only available in the U.S. models. European 959 Panigale gets the two exhausts.

are you talking about the track Akrapovics?Hi everybody, pictures are showing 959 Panigale with two exhausts.
But I saw a picture (unfortunately I cannot find it anymore) with a very short exhaust. Do you know what kind of exhaust will be on this model ?

Some brands might have already stated what they have in the works.
I think the stock system is actually louder than I expected. I just got off my first ride on it and it's certainly not quiet.

I've never ridden the 899. Only heard in passing. I suspect they're probably about the same from what I can tell. I think the older stock Ducati exhausts that I've experience were quite a bit muffled. This one is less so although its not loud at idle like a full Termi 1098/1198.How would you say it compares to the stock 899 exhausts? (If you've heard it that is)
I've already got the Full Ti Akro Exhaust System that I will be installing after I do my first service. Just an FYI the 1299 Akro system is the same part # and will fit the new 959. Only difference is when the dealer loads the new fuel MAP.
New Zealand and Australia get the underslung exhausts, same as USA. The European countries get the dual Shotgun exhausts.
I believe all 959s have had some engine modifications to reduce noise but as levi has said it is still noisy. This will be the first bike where I will need to wear earplugs.

Well I believe the shotgun exhaust is supposed to be quieter then the underslung. Although im assuming levigarett is in the US based on him saying its not much quieter than 899. I live in California, Bay Area. Just got off the bike again. It's not quiet. My Monster with essentially straight Termi's was obnoxious. Really too loud. The 959 is somewhat muffled at idle but its not quiet once under power. Not at all. I'm coming off of a loud bike so I was interested to see how the 959 would sound to me. just got 959 with the stocks after i ve sold an 899 with the stocks, have impression that 959 is a bit louder and it sounds a bit deeper than 899,more thumpy,thats my impression.I live in California, Bay Area. I know its an old topic but im trying to find out is akrapovic louder than the stocks? i would need some honest answer,i know its hard to say akra is not louder when you give 5000$ for it
Yes, the Akrapovic pipes are louder, especially if you embrace your inner hooligan and take out the baffles.
ok,im just about to go for a ride with someone whos got V2 with Akrapovic, im on 959 with stocks, ill compare.
