Just got my DP Carbon Tank Protector today from amazon, I intend to install it myself. Has anyone of you guys done it before? Is there any caution?

Also, if I got it from Amazon (sold by Ducati), does my local dealer must do the warranty for me if anything went wrong?

PS: My local dealer always give me the higher price compare to official Ducati website, e.g they told me ~ 100$ for this carbon tank protector, I got it by only 70$ from Amazon including shipping.

Where are you located? I got my tank protector from the dealer when I was picking up my bike and they installed it for me.
I picked up mine on a hot day (85F). He let the tank pad sit on tarmac for it to heat up nicely. After that it was peel and apply and he let it sit for some more time after installation.

I'm in Hanoi, Vietnam.

I installed it today, in normal temperature. I read the instruction come with the tank pad, it says that the tank temperature should be between 18 - 25 C degree.

I believe it's definitely way warmer than where I am at (Boston) . Hope you were able to put it on without any trouble.
Cheers!
