It's just a new heat shied, looks CF. Routing is the same as 899...Its a full titanium system which will cut kg (13 lbs) and gain you 2 bhp. Not sure on the cost ATM... (anyone hear yet?)
trying to find a pic from the other side, I want to see what that routing is up to just under the seat...

It has to cost more than the 899 system as you will need to factor in the cost of the re-shaped lower fairing panels on both sides.Akrapovic's evolution system for the 899/1199/1299 goes for $4500, might be safe to assume that around the $4k mark is what we can expect to pay for the 959's system.
you know, it's going to look prettier, but I'm not holding out hope that its going to sound THAT much better... still needs to be compliant..It has to cost more than the 899 system as you will need to factor in the cost of the re-shaped lower fairing panels on both sides.
These guys say that the optional Akra's don't give more noise or more power...Probably an incremental improvement in sound, as long as we can make it sound better than stock![]()
That test was with the homologated side mount Akrapovic (around £1200 GBP). According to the Ducati rep at Motorcycle Live at the NEC yesterday, there will be an under slung Akrapovic option complete with lower fairing replacements. His thoughts on price - around £2,000 but he couldn't be sure. These guys say that the optional Akra's don't give more noise or more power...

And back to that exhaust, the aftermarket Akrapovic pictured shaves 1.6kg over the stock peashooters but does little to power or noise levels.
