What kind of gear do you guys ride with? Does anyone have experience with things that crash well?

Currently i'm going through replacing pieces that are too big, recently switched to a RF1200 Shoei helmet in small (barely can get it on my head).

Now I'm looking at getting a new Jacket as my Size 54 Dainese Veloce is too big. While looking at some of the higher end jackets i found the Super Rider, seems to have a lot of new stuff, think it's worth the price tag?

I have Dianese motoshoe Air shoes, Ducati textile summer pants to go over my regular clothes, Ducati Corsa C2 jacket, and ducati gloves. In terms of my helmet, i'm using my old bell star until i get the new bell pro star.

I Currently use Spidi one piece suits for the track and Dainese two piece for the street. I like the Alpinestar Supertech R boots for both street and track.

As far as the best crash protection, the one piece suit will provide the best protection, and I know Spidi suits hold up well. A two piece that zips together is also very good and probably more desirable for street riding. Most of the modern gear is very good. Hard shell padding is better than the soft. It's good to get something that has hard padding in the shoulders, elbows, and forearms. If it can take a back protector that's a plus as well. It seems like you're looking at high end stuff so the protection / comfort level will be high. The two things they say you should never skimp on is your gear and your tires. You really do get what you pay for. I just updated my jacket over the winter. Picked it up at the D-Store in Chicago.

I lack a lot of hard core gear like full leathers and leather pants, but I have three pairs of riding jeans (Dainese, Scorpion, AGV Sport) and have the armor for them.
As far as jackets, I have a Spidi summer textile jacket with hard armor where it counts and a Teknik leather jacket for colder weather. That Teknik jacket is old and it was you could say a hand me down, but it's breathes well and with the liner is ok for winter. But boy is it heavy. It's going to get replaced this year.
I have Sidi boots and a Shoei RF1200 for a helmet.
For summer gloves I wear Spidi Ducati shorties and for cold I have the Alpinestar winter gloves. But I don't like them much.
I have a liking for Spidi and Dainese, also Rev It, but I lean more to Spidi, except their jeans are weird.

My riding gear is pretty basic.

Sedici armored gloves
Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 jacket
Alpinestar S-MX 2 boots
Shoe GT AIr

No track days for me any more.
I'm waiting for my Alpinestars SMX-1 R's to arrive. I'm also waiting for the local Dainese store to get their shipment of Super Speed textile jackets so I can check my size before I buy the Black/White/Red.
I have an AGV Corsa White/Red/Green helmet that I bought last year.
I started out with AlpineStars Roam2 boots. A/Stars textile hi-vis jacket and pants that can zip together (Andes Tourer). The lining can come out for summer. Absolutely waterproof kit.
A/Stars one piece Atem racing leathers.
AlpineStars racing gloves.
Just purchased Alpine Stars Kevlar jeans and the Dianese Ducati perforated C2 leather jacket (size 52) which for me is a good fit.
And because we have frosty mornings ahead I invested in some Keis electrically heated undergloves and a pair of Alpine Stars gloves a size bigger.
My gear list is pretty short:

Shoei RF1100, AStars leather jacket, AStars SP-2s (or some speed and strength shortcuffs for when its hot out). Other than that just basic jeans and a pair of generic leather boots.

Plan on buying some actual riding boots, and maybe some kevlar jeans soon.
Also added a couple of Back Protectors for my jackets: Forcefield Superlite in my Dainese R-Twin and a D3O Viper Stealth for my Rev'it Galactic.

Very nice jacket:cool:
Today I picked up a Dainese Super Speed Tex size 52 in Black/White/Gray - love it so far. Got a deal on it too - $359 out the door.

My Alpinestars SMX-1R White boots arrived today - gonna try them out first thing tomorrow. They are super comfortable and fit great. Extremely excited!
