Gopro mount and philips diamonds bulbs

Tonight I put a gopro mount adhesive on the front left side and replaced the low beams with Phillips diamond bulbs. I have two more of these that I will either save for when these go out or use to switch out the high beams.

The low beams were pretty easy to switch out. Tomorrow I'll ride and I'll let you all know how that mount position for the gopro worked.

Why did you decide to mount the camera on the left side of the bike instead of on your helmet? I just figure that the perspective from the helmet would be a better angle.

Exactly and the panel fairings vibrate a bit.. eeek double sided tape on the paint right under the name where everyone looks.. :surprise:

I had the gopro on the top of my previous helmet. The thing I didn't like about it was how the wind resistance would pull back on my head at high speeds. Also, I wasn't a big fan of having it stick off of my helmet.

Mounted down on the side like that does vibrate a little bit. But not a lot. On my previous bike, I had the gopro mounted right above the headlights and it seemed like there was actually more vibration at that spot.

Once track season comes around I'd like to see how this low position is for the track. Another thing that is nice about where I have it mounted currently is that I can reach it. And I can take off the housing and all that's left is the small black mounting bracket. I've been told that it will come off if it's heated up without removing the paint. But do other folks have information that's contrary to that?

Where have other people mounted their gopros? I have my cell phone mounted above the stem. I couldn't figure out a really good place to mount the gopro. But if people have suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I like the bulbs. It's hard to see the difference on pictures. Personally I like these bulbs much more than going with hid or led because of the ease. Are there specific questions that you have?
Quality of light over stock...

Stock lights sucked on the base 1199. My 959 ships thursday with a next week arrival so I can't comment as of yet but it's safe to assume that the OEM halogens will be as lackluster as their predecessors'. Aftermarket halogen bulbs are an improvement however for what some of them cost, a $40 hid kid has measurably more light output with regard to lumens.

The end state is that I'm getting a 1299s led headlight. It's just deciding on my appetizer before the main course...
