Has anyone looked in to converting or changing out the headlights? Riding in the carpool lane and pushing a little, need much more depth without turning on the high beams.

I'm going to check the 899 forum and I'm doing my first service Saturday, thus planning on asking the dealer for suggestions.

I bought a couple of "Philips - Diamond Vision H11 Halogen HID Super White 5000K" bulbs off Amazon. It was $47.31 for 2. However, I'm debating whether to put them on or send them back. People seem to have mixed responses whether something like this would actually give you better visibility or not. So, I'm really curious what you find out from other people also.

Yup, I've purchased a 1299s led headlight for my 959 which I still don't have but from what I've heard this is a highly recommended upgrade and will make my bike look even sweeter.

Can't wait to get the bike to do the install

When you say this, do you know mean you purchased the whole front part or just the bulb?

Guys with 899s were purchasing the 1199 LED conversion kit for $700 (as per the 899 forum). I spoke with the dealer and the first recommendation was to go with brighter lights, but not recommended and could lead to warranty issues. With that said, I'll most likely ride with my brights when needed to avoid any problems.

I purchased the whole front led light, it's a brand new take off from a 1299s

They have to prove that the headlight is the cause of any issue, I don't think they I'll deny you warranty because of that .

Besides is an oem headlight , pretty much plug and play. We'll sort if

You installed them for both the low beam and high beams, correct? The low beams look easy to get to. Are the high beams also easy to get to?

I've only done the low beams for now as they were quick to do but after yesterday's night ride, I'll definitely look into doing the high beams as well.

After seeing those photos I've gone and purchased the H11 Diamonds!

Cant wait to upgrade it, yeah the High Beams do look tougher

I heard the headlight makes a big difference.

Honestly I just don't ride at night haha I found the lights aim down to much. You can remove the fairing and aim them up slightly for more depth.
I am going to just not ride at night hahaha

Has anyone looked into the h11 -> h9 conversion?

H9 is 65w, light out out is somewhere around 25% increased
