It's no production piece and if you get into the nitty gritty it looks on par with an NRC product...

But it is [email protected] near as flush as you can get to the triple clamp, it has a magnetic as a secondary to a mechanical latch and I've added my own quick release dummy cord to the triple; so I'm not worried about losing any of it or the phone.

It's subtle and you really can't see how it's attached until you start squeezing your head in and around the c*ckpit (SERIOUSLY censored?). I think it should suffice.

Cost: $30 for Lifeproof Lifeactiv Multipurpose Mount
Time: 1 hour

@Kevin.H Very slick and good photos also. I'll look into this if I don't like the Telferizer Ram ball I just received but yet to install.

Thanks

I just fitted it to make sure it all worked, I'm gonna clean it up a bit and have the painter lay a coat of black just to keep it from rusting.

I never actually saw a picture of the ram setup from a profile view but I know it's tall...

It is taller but it works for my GPS. I'm not too fond of using my phone for navigation and being tracked by those Nazis at the NSA through Google. I do like low profile set-up of yours.

I was thinking of using the triple clamp stem mounted ball for something else useful like a phone, go-pro, radar detector / jammer or a laser canon such as this one:

@DarR just put mine on yesterday and got to ride with it today. Thanks for the info on this mount.
Pleasure. Glad it helped. I see you used the bar end ball. Makes for a flusher mount!

Just installed the same mount. Super low profile. Looks awesome and works perfectly. Requires a magnetic piece/Locking device on the back of the phone. I attached it to a plastic case and only use that specific case when I'm on the bike.

Where did you have the extra attachment made? What parts are used? I've purchased the Lifeactiv portion and just need to mount it.

Looped it over a hill in 4th gear around 100 (surprised me, too lol). Came off the back, tumbled for almost 200 feet. Bike went almost 600 feet. Open fracture - tibia/fibula (2 places), some road rash. Still waiting for the fibula to heal all the way. Rod in the tibia made it heal pretty quick... It was my first broken bone so I went big I guess.
