Hello all, I'm new to the community. I'm in the process of owning a new 959. As most I've always dreamed of owning a Ducati and the time has come for me to make it happen. I live in Texas, been riding motorcycles since I was 16. My first vehicle to commute to school was a Yamaha YZF 600. Didn't get a car and have been hooked on bikes since. Eventually I went on to getting new bikes. Had a GSXR-750, and a ZX10-r. Went to the cruiser class and tried out a Harley rocker-c and a Harley breakout. Wasn't impressed at all with Harley Davidson. So I found my self at a local Ducati dealership in San Antonio. Must say from the moment I walked in I realized the difference between what I've seen and experienced was night and day when it came to this level of motorcycle. After being humble and willing to be further educated on the incredible technology on these bikes I was even more eager to taking one home. So I fell in love with the 959. I was shown the rsv4r and agusta mv f4. Great bikes and all amazing but the 959 has something that just calls me. So I'm 34 years old been in the military for 16 years and have support from my amazing wife to add the 959 to the fleet. I joined this community to try and gain more knowledge and ask those who have more experience in owning and riding Ducati bikes. Looking forward to reading and learning more. Thanks

Ducati San Antonio is a great dealer so I'm glad your first experience in a Ducati dealership was positve! My advice to you is ask them to ride their "demo model" and let the ride lead you down the path of making it yours or not. Make sure Carlos (the lead sales guy) takes you on a nice demo ride with some extra curvy roads... :wink2:

Feel free to ask me any questions, I've owned my fair share of Duc's.
