Was reading an interview on motociclismo.it between the writer and Stefano Strapazzon (project manager of 959) when he outright stated that there will be no Panigale 959 S.

And speaking of races, have you ever thought about a S version?
No, it would go against the idea of keeping the price within a certain level, which is a key aspect of 959.

But where will you start with the S build?

If you really wanted to build an "S model" in regards to how Ducati normally does it then you would need to do the following:

  1. Upgrade Wheels - Forged aluminum
  2. Ohlin's - Steering Dampner, front forks and rear shock
  3. LED Headlight Conversion
  4. Rear Seat Cowl
  5. Carbon Fiber - Front fender
  6. 959S Decals
This should about do it.... but I plan to take it a couple steps farther by adding:

  • Full - Akro Ti Exhaust System (already have in the box)
  • Brembo M50 front brakes
  • Race Plastics for track days:laugh:

So for those who have a limited starting budget for mods but still want a Panigale 959 S, the best place to start would probably be the Ohlin's Steering Dampner, front forks and rear shock along with a Full Akro Ti Exhaust System. Everything else can come at a later date.

Akra... can't ever go wrong with getting one of their systems. Amplifying and improving the Ducati symphony is a must.

To each their own. There's not right way or timeline on modding a bike. You would like to get akra first but maybe I would like to install the dampers first. End of the day, as long as we agree on the S decal it's all good.

Vroom Vroom... the "S" decal will add at least 20hp and $5K value to the bike. We need someone to offer to make forum members the 959S decals.

A limited starting budget? You're talking at least 50% of the cost of the bike for these mods! :surprise:

Or add them one piece at a time when you can. I assume most of you guys are going to be keeping the 959 for a while. The stock 959 is actually fine but this is just for those who want the equivalent of a 959 S.
If budget is a concern, then the best mod will be this:

rucks22 knows what he's talking about! :grin2:

You have both the 1299 S and the 959? :surprise:
No, we have a 1299s and an 899. We (me and my girlfriend) would have had a 959 but not keen on the side exhaust we are stuck with here in the UK. £4,000 for the underbelly Akrapovic and lower fairing parts puts it in the 1299 price range. The dealer had a mint 1000 mile 899 with Termi's DP rearsets, levers, reservoirs, and loads of carbon etc. So we traded her M696 in against that instead. Sorry guys!

LMAO. That's hwo it suppose to be. If I ever plan to build up my 959 when I get one I'd make it an "R" model :grin2:

Hey Joker do you have pics of all your previous bikes?
Most of them, yeah. Can't work out how to post pics on here without them turning sideways?
