I’m a newbie to Ducati 959 (2017) and with my first V-twin, enjoying every minute. Question I need some help on. I removed the rear wheel to get some fresh rubber fitted, and took the rear sprocket out the hub to avoid it falling out. When I reassemble the rear wheel, I noticed a gap between the hub face and the sprocket carrier. It’s about 3mm - 4mm. I took the rear wheel back out and checked the sprocket is fitted properly. All the pins go in and there is no slack. It’s a hard metal to metal “clunk” when you insert the pins into the holes.

Is this normal? Feels like it should meet face to face with the sidewall of the hub. I wish I had taken a photo.

thanks.
