Hi Everyone. I could use some help. I am having a bit of trouble removing the passenger pegs off my bike. I have the 4 bolts holding them on removed as well as the 2 bolts holding the left and right peg together. However, I cannot get the front 2 to clear the heat guard. No matter how much I try to jiggle it out it just gets caught on the spacer from the guard.

Has anyone encountered this or have any suggestions?

Did mine today, was a bit tricky, but you have to push down on the heat shield while jigling the back holes over the spacers, took me a few minutes, but managed it, they are quite tight at first and the right one seemed to clear the spacers better than the left. Cheers

removing pegs

your going to have to push down on the exhaust heat shield dont be afraid of putting a lot of pressure that thing is on there pretty well, it should jiggle a little bit to once the 2 bottom screws underneath it are removed for more play. Im probably going to remove mine when my fender eliminator kit comes in as well so im not looking forward to it. Good luck!!!!!

Just prior to delivery, my dealer asked me if I wanted the Passenger Pegs installed. By default, they're not mounted on the bike while in the crate.

when you used the crow bar was there any marks left or scratches? im just curious because I put them on my bike and had a passenger on my bike and realized the 959 is really not meant for passengers, it was so uncomfortable. I'm getting the fender eliminator kit that i ordered in the mail today so I will most likely remove my pegs as well.
