Watched the security footage down the front straight. He looked like he had been fired out of a cannon. I wonder if next year they will make the bikes use the chicane like they do the F1 cars.
Crazy! I didn't realize there's no gravel trap there. It's no wonder he slid in so fast. @ tko - you may have seen it by now, but they changed the layout directly after that.
Make sure your tracks have adequate safety and be careful if they're primarily designed with cars in mind. Only 1 of the 3 racetracks in my area have motorcycles in mind when it comes to course lay out and safety.
Sad when riders go so young but that's the risk that comes with track racing. Would gravel would have helped? Maybe, it could have slowed him down before the airfence.
