Setting Menu Access

I'm having a bit of trouble accessing the Setting Menu screen following the 959 owners manual instructions.

I'm trying to access Engine Power Modes to see if the factory default is set to High while in Race Mode. I'm guessing it is but wanted to check anyway.

On page 109 it says to hold button (3) for two seconds and the Setting Menu will appear. Button 3 appears to be the high beam/low beam/flasher switch. I tried moving that thing every which way for several seconds and no setting screen appears.... so gave up for now.

Has anyone else been able to get into this screen and if so, how?

Thanks!

The menu display button is below the turn signal switch. Had to use it this morning to update the clock. All your settings are in there. Once you're in there it's easier to just poke around to find what you need rather than looking through the manual, which can be sometimes confusing. Good luck.

+1 for that. Took me a while to find it also.
Thanks guys, I've already tried the two function switches 1 and 2 and they work great for setting clock, air temperature etc. but still don't display the setting screen for changing power modes, the manual says to use switch 3 to access the setting screen, select ride mode race, sport or wet then select engine power mode High, Medium or Low. Can't access this screen with buttons 1 or 2.

I believe "Race" mode is full HP, shorter throttle / power delivery, and less default rider aids - "Sport" is also full HP, but longer throttle / power delivery, more default rider aids. "Wet" is low HP, same throttle as "Sport", full rider aids. The current rider aid settings for the corresponding rider mode are displayed to the right of the speed indicator.

OK, I got it figured out, the lower slide switch, button 2, accesses the Setting Menu, push it down for two seconds and the setting screen appears, go into Riding Modes menu (RM) and then it shows the factory default settings. I have Race mode set and it defaults to High engine power mode so all's good, that's all I wanted to know.

The manual is wrong, it talks about button 3 for the setting menu while the correct one is button 2.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for clarifying this. Pretty lame that it's incorrect in the manual.

I mean, it is a Ducati, like most Italian manuals, sometimes Luigi and Piero are not in the same page and stuff like that happens.
You should try reading a first gen monster service manual, and all the conflicting torque specs.

Thanks for the heads up Kruz, ran into the same problem today.
Jesus didnt you Sales Rep explain how to do these when you took delivery???
My rep thought that the break in was computer controlled - so do you really need the answer for your question? :grin2:
Late to the party again, thank you. Ive been wanting to play with my settings and couldn’t figure out how to get in there. My sales rep did show me but i forgot what he said. Oh well, guess i have to go back out for another ride now.
