So on my way home tonight my steering seemed a little janky for lack of a better word. It felt less solid and crisp than normal so i started poking around and it seems my steering damper has quite a bit of play in it. Specifically if i grab onto it and jiggle. Is this normal. It might be nothing but now that I perceived something was off im going to think every time i hit a bump something is wrong. Thanks.

Ok so answering my own question. Laid in bed for all of three minutes before deciding i need to fo futz with it otherwise im just going to lay awake thinking about it.

Steering damper is fine, bolt is torqued down just fine. Must have just hit a couple bumps weird when turning that made it feel so twitchy.

A damper is velocity based, so you'd feel it responding more if you happen to be bump steering (quick velocity steering change). Jiggle it slow, you should have low force. Jiggle it fast, you should have higher force.
