Looks good, I plan on doing the tank pad to protect the paint. On my 750 it's pretty scratched up
Good thing i bought the ducati tank protector, @DarR those should be fine, correct? For those of us thinking about a tank protector, we may want to read the negative comments from the following 899 forum:
Clear tank Protector.... bad idea! - Ducati 899 Panigale Forum
I read that post. It's the reason that I avoided clear, went with the ducati carbon fiber one, and had the dealership install it during my service. The said that if they install it that there's a 2 year warranty on the tank pad. They charged me $25 for installing the tank pad which was worth it for me. I've installed tank pads before and it's pretty easy. But the peace of mine made it worth the $25 for me.Good thing i bought the ducati tank protector, @DarR those should be fine, correct?
According to Jarel, General Manager Ducati Omaha, they have claimed some on warranty but I'm not puting one on until I complete my due diligence about paint damage potential.Good thing i bought the ducati tank protector, @DarR those should be fine, correct?
From what I've heard as long as you use a hair dryer to warm the tank protector before you take it off, it shouldn't peel the paint off when removing. But of course complete your research.According to Jarel, General Manager Ducati Omaha, they have claimed some on warranty but I'm not puting one on until I complete my due diligence about paint damage potential.
I attached the phone cradle to the phone mount. The phone mount is the adaptiv technologies mount. I took several pictures, so you can see what it looks like with the phone on in the following positions: behind the bike, straight wheel, turned left, turned right, and the view from sitting upright on the bike. I also took a picture of the phone cradle on the phone mount without the phone in it.
I wanted to give you some perspective of how your phone could fit on the bike if you went with this stem mount approach. BTW, my phone is quite large. It's an LG G Flex 2. I'll ride with it tomorrow for the first time.
Now I need to figure out how/if I feel comfortable running a charging cord up to the phone from the battery tender (mine is on the left side of the bike). I might just mount it and only charge it when I'm off the bike. If I do run a cord, I'll definitely want to attach it at points so that it doesn't dangle at all. Have any of you done this yet?
