Team Ducati!!!
My apologies if this my question has been answered previously in the forum. I purchased my 2016 959 Panigale with 649 miles. The dealer I purchased from performed the typical services; change all fluids; checked bike hardware; replace tires if required, etc. Since they are not an Authorized Ducati Servicer; I have to take the maintenance records to a Ducati (authorized) dealer so they will reset the ‘service light’.
My issue; my local Ducati dealers stated the Service Light (600 mi) is not only for the oil change, but includes 22 other service items; which is why the 600 miles service can take 2 -4 hours. Does anyone know what exactly is done to our bikes at the 600-mile service?
Now I have to decide if I will pay which will be a minimum of $400 (Northern VA) to have the Ducati Service, or purchase that JPDiag tool; reset my light and keep rolling.
