It was in the high 80 F range this morning and I am paying close attention to my coolant temperatures.

After about 30 minutes of spirited riding, coolant temps were in the upper 190 F to low 200 F range, seems high to me as the Jap bikes are way cooler at the same ambient temps.

Is this normal for the 959, what are you guys seeing under similar ambient conditions? Seems to me, the radiator is a little under capacity for these hotter climates.

This is normal, Ducati bikes run extremely hot compared to other bikes due to their engine design.
Just make sure to change your coolant every 2 years.

I personally run a mixture of 25% Water Wetter, 25% Zerex ZXG051 and 50% distilled water.
I do flush my radiator every year.
